About me
I’m Eliza Posner, LCSW — a psychotherapist who believes in your innate capacity to heal, grow, and live with greater ease and authenticity. I provide psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, and life transitions, and specialize in perinatal mental health, supporting individuals and couples through family planning, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting.
I work to build a trusting, collaborative relationship where you can feel deeply heard and understood. My approach draws from psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspectives, helping clients deepen self-understanding and develop compassion for the different parts of themselves. I also bring attention to the broader systems you interact within — relationships, family, work, and community — and how they shape your experience.
My goal is to create a warm, collaborative space where you can explore what matters most, build on your strengths, and move toward a more grounded, connected, and fulfilling life.

Process
We begin with clarity and direction
The first sessions focus on what brings you in, what feels off, and what you want life to feel like instead. We may explore deeper themes over time, but you’ll feel grounded and supported from the start.
We explore the “why” behind your patterns
With a psychodynamic foundation, we look at how earlier experiences and relationships shape present-day reactions and expectations. This is not about living in the past. It is about building self-awareness so you can move beyond patterns that no longer serve you.
We stay connected to the present
Insight matters, but our work stays anchored in what is happening right now, including stress, relationships, work dynamics, and the moments you feel stuck or overwhelmed.
We integrate practical, solution-focused strategies
Alongside insight, we identify targeted shifts you can use immediately, such as communication tools, emotional regulation strategies, boundary setting, mindset reframes, and behavior changes. The goal is for you to feel better week to week.
We track progress through both insight and real-life results
Over time, clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and experience meaningful improvements in communication, boundaries, mood, stress, and overall alignment with the life they want.
The goal is lasting, meaningful change
My role is to help you grow in a way that feels sustainable, empowering, and tailored to the realities of your life.
"Eliza has been a tremendous help throughout my battle with anxiety. As our therapy sessions have progressed, so have I; the level of anxiety that I experience on a daily basis is significantly less than when we first met. I attribute my transformation to her capacity to listen and the amount she cares. I’m so grateful that I found her and I look forward to our weekly check-ins."
